We were amazed at how well the 1500 picks up the flag and cuts out the background. He is not real steady, but that doesn't seem to matter. Somewhat hard to hold steady on the flag unless using the golf cart for support thus causing misreads on occasion. When held steady it is right on every time. I find the slope feature to be very helpful especially when visiting unfamiliar courses. The finder is more bulky and heavy than some of the other range finders but I don't find that to be a problem. I can't rely on my eyesight or judgement to determine distance so I used to spend alot of time looking for fairway yardage markers and then adjusting for my ball position. before i purchased the golf pinseeker i looked at prologix and skycaddie and decided that this product was more flexible, and less expensive, for my needs. a must buy.
