Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Cordless Phone Comment: Had an AT&T cordless phone set for 3 years and the batteries gave out on all 4 phones. To replace the batteries would have been almost as much as the new phone set. Decided on this Panasonic phone as I can use rechargable AAA batteries which makes things a lot easier. This is a big plus. The phone is light and okay to use when cradling on your shoulder. It is much easier to do this if the belt clip is attached to the phone as it gives you more to hold on to. What I don't like is the lack of knowing how many phone messages that have been left and that the light goes off once you listen to the messages. That can cause problems if the messages are for someone else in the house and you forget to tell them. I find this to be a major drawback. What else is annoying is the ring tone choices. None are normal phone rings and the choices are really all rather obnoxious. Either they should give more choices or at least better choices. The phone is not as user friendly or straight forward as my last phone, but hope that with time, I will find it more tolerable. It isn't difficult to use at all, but not as user friendly. Customer Rating: Summary: Great set of phones Comment: I have been looking for a home intercom system for some time but when I found this phone set of 4 handsets had a built in intercom capability for about the same price as two intercoms I bought these. Now I have a phone in the workshop, den, and replaced two others in the kitchen and sunroom. Now I can not only answer the phone from several locations but can be paged or page my spouse from any of the four locations. I'd recommend this set to anyone needing multiple phones and desiring a nice intercom capability. Much better than yelling "call for you!". Might have given 5 stars but haven't had it long enough. Editorial Reviews: Since it is digital, DECT 6.0 technology provides long range, clear sound and helps deter eavesdropping as well as offering up to 17 hours of talk time and 7.5 days standby time. Multiple voice paths are used to enable the entire series to provide up to 3-way conferencing, this allows for multiple handsets to be used at the same time and up to 2 handsets can join into a conversation with one outside caller.
