Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Easy to use Comment: The virus scan is very fast and the updates are automatic. I could work on my laptop as usual when the virus scan is running and it does not slow down the system. No problems observed so far. Customer Rating: Summary: Installation fails on 64-bit Vista Comment: The product fails to install on Vista Business 64-bit (with 8 GB memory installed). The DEP (data execution prevention) trap handler aborted the installation. I guess I'll need to find another anti-virus solution. 1 star. And even that's a stretch. Customer Rating: Summary: Not ready for Vista Comment: I bought KIS 2009 due to some of the reviews stating that it doesn't slow your system down as much as other security suites. That is very true, when it is running. Since installing KIS 2009 I've been getting 2 to 5 "Blue Screens of Death" BSOD's a day. I've opened tickets with support, gone to Kasperski's forum and so far no luck and definitely no solution. You can do searches and find out that this is not an isolatedissue with me. If you are not a geek with a LOT of time on your hands I'd reccomend going with someone else until Kaspersky gets this issue resolved. I think they will get it fixed and then they will have good product. But right now it isn't ready for primetime. Customer Rating: Summary: Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 - Very Easy to Use Comment: Probably the most expensive of all - but also has the highest of ratings. This is my second year using Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) and I am more satisfied than last year. This version seems to create fewer confusing situations and also appears to be stealth in operation. I have to admit, however, there is a lot to this program that I know little about - but try and learn as I use it. There wasn't a User Manual with the shipped product, but there is an easily downloadable version that you can obtain from Kaspersky.com I am one that would have prefered a hardcopy at installation - but loading and launching was a breeze! From my past experiences with this product it can be difficult getting through to Kaspersky's Tech department if you require immediate help. You may have to wait a few days for any acknowledgement. But when received it is usually very specific and to the point. I have had a few opportunities to discuss a loading procedure with a live Tech as was very pleased with their level of competence and understanding of my situation. Customer Rating: Summary: So far so good Comment: Loaded security software on two PCs, one with Vista and one with XP Pro. Loading was easy.
